By car:
- From Paris or Lyon: Take the A6 motorway, then the A31, exit at Nuits-Saint-Georges, and follow signs to Gilly-lès-Cîteaux (approximately 6 km from the exit).
- From Mulhouse: Take the A36 then A39 towards Dijon, join the A31 towards Beaune, exit at Nuits-Saint-Georges, then head towards Gilly-lès-Cîteaux.
- From Nancy: Take the A31 towards Dijon, exit at Nuits-Saint-Georges, and continue to Gilly-lès-Cîteaux.
Once in the village, the Château is located at 2 Place du Château, near the centre. Parking is available on-site or in the immediate vicinity.
By train:
- Vougeot – Gilly-lès-Cîteaux station, on the Paris–Lyon–Marseille line, is served by regional TER Bourgogne-Franche-Comté trains — just 50 metres from the town centre.
- From Dijon-Ville station, regular TER trains (or TGV inOui with a connection) reach the local station in around 25 minutes by car or 30–40 minutes via TER with a connection.
Example journey from Paris Gare de Lyon:
Paris → Dijon (approx. 1 hr 36 min by TGV inOui) → TER to Gilly (30 min), for a total journey time of about 2 hr 50 min depending on connections.
By plane:
