Clear, sincere cuisine inspired by nature

Originally from Alsace, Pierre Frindel discovered his passion for fine dining at a young age.

After a demanding culinary training, he refined his craft alongside Joël Robuchon and Pierre Gagnaire, working in London and later in Hong Kong. These two culinary icons left a lasting imprint on his vision of cuisine. He then joined Yannick Alléno at Pavillon Ledoyen, where he embraced a philosophy rooted in creative freedom and boundary-pushing innovation.

It was while working with Nicolas Masse, two-star chef at La Grand’Vigne, that he developed a deeply product-driven and intuitive approach. This formative experience led him naturally to the Les Sources, where he continues his journey today, committed to excellence with authenticity, intention, and heart.

At the heart of Les Sources de Cheverny, Le Favori celebrates the deep identity of its terroir.

Between the Loire Valley, a true royal garden of France with its generous produce, and the rich, wild and mysterious forests of Sologne, Chef Pierre Frindel’s cuisine moves between these two worlds, inviting you on a journey full of promise.

His dishes, defined by their clarity, are built around a few essential ingredients, each fully expressed. Plants take centre stage as a natural choice, in harmony with noble fish and meats, in a pursuit of sincerity and precision.

The experience unfolds from the garden to the forest, between the discipline of cultivation and the instinct of foraging, the freshness of vegetables and the depth of woodland flavours. Each creation reveals the true essence of the product, without artifice.
