Les Sources de Vougeot
Les Sources de Vougeot open the doors to the Château de Gilly
This former priory, now listed as a historical monument, was founded in the sixth century as the retreat and workplace of the abbots of Cîteaux.
They were true pioneers, playing a major role in the development of the Burgundian vineyards, thanks in particular to the innovative winemaking techniques they invented.
In the 14th century, during the Hundred Years’ War, the priory was transformed into a chateau before becoming, in the 17th century, a sumptuous country house.
Alice and Jérôme Tourbier wished to remain faithful to the identity of the château: while the heritage of its monastic style remains perceptible, it is now combined with an interior of great refinement.
